*********************************************************************************** *********************************************************************************** UPDATE INFORMATION For SoundVert 1.0 AS OF 4/1/94 I have instituted some changes that I hope you will find useful. First, I have incorporated the ability to process stereo waves! This should add a whole new dimension to your sampling capabilities. Keep in mind that stereo waves are put into two different layers. The left channel must go into an odd numbered layer. The right channel takes car of itself. Also you may add up to 7 different samples to your EDE or EDA file (this makes a grand total of 8 different samples). If you are using stereo waves, the limit is four. NOTE: YOU MUST PLACE EACH SAMPLE IN A DIFFERENT LAYER!!!!! For example, if you SoundVert a mono wave file to Giebler's EDE and you want to Add a stereo wave, don't forget to set the layer to 3. If you put it in layer two, the program will automatically shift the left channel to layer. As you already have a sample in layer 1, this will cause problems! If you do not, you may have problems. I am currently working on this problem so you can expect an update. While planning to resolve any problems that may occur. I am now working on SoundVert 2.0. This will include full editing of all parameters, adding more conversion utilities, and the ability to format and write to Ensoniq ASR/EPS disks. Plus, whatever else you think is important! Thanks for your support! TIM
